A high-level MoU ceremony was held between PATCO and Green Agritech Farms under the chairmanship of Syed Murtaza Hassan Andrabi, Chairman PARC/PATCO Board of Directors. The ceremony commenced with the recitation from the Holy Quran. CEO PATCO, Dr. Taj Naeeb Khan, shared the agenda and objectives of the MoU.

Director General, NARC, Dr. Khalid Mehmood welcomed the guests and emphasized the need to strengthen agriculture, which is the backbone of Pakistan’s food security. Representatives from Green Agritech Farms expressed their keen interest in benefiting from the expertise of the PARC team under one umbrella. They also shared details of their infrastructure and research facilities based in Bahawalpur.

The Chairman, PARC highlighted that the MoU is a living document, and need-based items can be added in the future. He appreciated the theme and collaborative spirit of the agreement. CEO PATCO, along with Dr. Malik Yousaf, stated that Bahawalpur is their parent site for research activities and expressed happiness over the MoU, particularly in terms of technology transfer and resource sharing.

The Chairman and Director General further highlighted that the PATCO Seed Business Enterprise has been approved, and a major hurdle in achieving high yields—poor quality seed—will be addressed through the production and marketing of basic and certified seed, as quality seed is the foundation for higher agricultural productivity.

From PATCO, Syed Haider Abbas, Company Secretary, and from Green Agritech Farms, the CEO of Green Agritech Farms signed the Memorandum of Understanding.
