The partnership aims to commission and operate a high-throughput sequencing platform at NIGAB, NARC, Islamabad, enabling research, agricultural, and clinical sequencing services in Pakistan. PATCO facilitates financial and administrative management, while Blazon Diagnostics provides sequencing instruments, reagents, technical support, and commercial enablement.

The collaboration is designed under a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model, ensuring short-term pilot operations for research and agriculture sequencing, followed by long-term expansion to accredited clinical services. Key governance, quality assurance, data management, and revenue-sharing mechanisms have been defined to ensure transparency and operational excellence.

This NGS facility is expected to strengthen genomic research capabilities in Pakistan, enhance agricultural innovation, and provide scalable clinical sequencing services while building local capacity in high-throughput genomics.
